Who We Are

Garrett L. Anderson is the President of Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. He purchased the former Jones Funeral Home, Altoona in April of 2023 and purchased the former Good’s Funeral Parlor, Altoona in April of 2024. Prior to purchasing Robert “Bob” Jones & Vincent “Vince” Good’s businesses, which they entrusted to him, he had a vision of building a new modern funeral home to help serve the families in Altoona and surrounding area. 

In February of 2024 that vision became a reality and we broke ground on our new 4,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art funeral home, which sits along E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., in front of Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona. It was designed to provide families with a warm and welcoming atmosphere of comfort and solace, while also providing modern amenities and full handicap accessibility. It was completed at the end of January 2025.

Notice: If you or a family member had prearrangements with Jones Funeral Home located at 1222 13th Ave., Altoona, or Good’s Funeral Parlor located at 328 5th Ave., Altoona, those prearrangements have been transferred and entrusted to us. Notable Funerals: Since the founding of the former Jones Funeral Home, we have served the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese by conducting services for five Roman Catholic Bishops: Bishop Garvey (1920), Bishop McCort (1936), Bishop Guilfoyle (1957), Bishop Carroll (1960), and Bishop Hogan (2005).
