Susan Marie Bauer

Susan Marie Bauer, 96, Altoona, died peacefully Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025, at Allegheny Lutheran Home in Hollidaysburg after an extended illness. Born December 22, 1928, Altoona, daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (DiDonatontonio) Fedeli. She married John E. Bauer on May 16, 1953, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2016, after 63 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by her siblings, Herman Fedeli, Vera Johns, Helen Cardone, Alfred Fedeli, Yolanda Damiano, Rocky Fedeli; and brothers-in law and sisters-in-law. Survived by her four children, John Bauer Jr. (Sandy Leib) of Annville, Dana Anne (Mike) Miller, Mike Bauer and Joe Bauer all of Altoona; two granddaughters, Miranda (John) Foltz and Makenzie (Travis) Miller-Williams; three great grandchildren, Blase, Brennan and Blakely Miller; a sister-in-law Rosemarie Fedeli; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Susan was a 1946 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She retired in 1991 as a maintenance worker at Penn State Altoona. She was a wonderful homemaker and liked to cook and bake. She was known for her kindness and hospitality. Susan was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and relatives. She liked watching old classic movies and sporting events, especially Penguins hockey games. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a good cup of tea. A sincere thanks to all Allegheny Lutheran Home employees for taking such good care of Susan.
