Mark Burns

Burns, Mark Daniel, 71, Altoona, passed away peacefully Monday, May 29, 2023. Born February 14, 1952, Altoona, son of the late Daniel C. and Miriam M. (Bell) Burns. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maurice and Verna L. (Ackerman) Bell; paternal grandparents, Frank L. and Charlotta M. (Frye) Burns; and brother, Denis Burns. Survived by his siblings, Maureen (Dave) Hanekamp; and Matt Burns; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark attended the Cathedral Grade School and was a 1970 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. He was a self-employed artist; he was very gifted and put a lot of effort into his work. He also enjoyed cooking and gardening. At his request, there will be no viewing. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
