Erskine "Bill" Gipson

Erskine “Bill” Gipson, 81, Williamsburg, passed away February 12, 2025 at his home. Born March 13, 1943, Birmingham, AL, son of the late Sidney J. Gipson, Sr. and Loie E. Horton. Preceded in death by his son, Billy Gipson; and brothers, James and Dallas Gipson. Survived by his loving wife, Lisa E. (Evans) Gipson; daughters, Miley and Alyssa Bloom; sons, Johnny, Ronnie and Charles Gipson; step-daughter, Victoria Williams; step-son, Lynn Bloom; granddaughter, Jasmine Penrod; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was a US Army veteran, serving during Vietnam. He was a life member of the Williamsburg American Legion Post 456. Bill enjoyed his antique car, camping, fishing and spending time with his family. At Bill’s request, there will be no viewing or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
